About Dr. Garcia-Ferrer
: Dr. Garcia is a Licensed Psychiatrist and a Distinguished Fellow with the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Garcia is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, and Addiction Psychiatry, and also certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He is currently Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center.
Dr. Garcia has been in practice for more than 22 years helping patients with a broad range of psychiatric conditions. He has extensive experience with patients with Chemical Dependency, Dual Diagnosis, and Geriatric illness. Dr. Garcia developed the Dual Diagnosis Program at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in 1993. He has served on Advisory Boards, teaches and supervises St. Louis University residents, and has been a National Speaker on a number of psychiatric topics.
Dr. Garcia also enjoys golf, tennis, traveling, and spending time with his family.
